RPM Productions continues to cement its position as Malaysia’s premier drama producer with an unprecedented achievement at last night’s Malaysian Screen Awards. Our original drama series “Pulang Ke Pangkal Jalan” dominated the ceremony, taking home five major awards including Best Drama Series, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress for Sarah Ayu, and Best Supporting Actor for Dato’ Rosyam Nor.
The 12-episode drama, which explores themes of family reconciliation against the backdrop of rural Malaysia’s rapid development, has struck a chord with audiences nationwide, garnering over 15 million views across streaming platforms since its January premiere.
“This recognition validates our commitment to authentic Malaysian storytelling that resonates both locally and across Southeast Asia,” said Creative Director Faizal Rahman. “We’re particularly proud that a story so deeply rooted in Malaysian cultural values has connected with such a diverse audience.”
The success follows RPM’s recent expansion of its drama production facilities in Kuala Lumpur, which now features the country’s largest sound stage dedicated to television production. The company has announced that international distribution deals are currently being finalized, which will bring “Pulang Ke Pangkal Jalan” to audiences across Asia and beyond.
